Abah Anom Suryalaya, also known as Abah Anom, was a well-known Islamic scholar and spiritual leader from the Sundanese area of Indonesia. Pondok Pesantren Suryalaya, the institution he created, remains a respected and cherished place of study, and his teachings continue to be passed down by his disciples and followers.
As the head of the pesantren, Abah Anom was also actively involved in social events. He routinely held religious gatherings and lectures across many countries, conveying a message of peace, love, and tolerance.
