Penulis Abah Anom Suryalaya, also known as Abah Anom, was a well-known Islamic scholar and spiritual leader from the Sundanese area of Indonesia. He is most known as the head and custodian of the Suryalaya Islamic Boarding School (Pondok Pesantren Suryalaya) in Tasikmalaya, West Java. Abah Anom was very important to the growth of Islamic teachings, especially in West Java. His simple, kind, and humble nature made him a person of great spiritual and social regard.

As the head of the pesantren, Abah Anom was also actively involved in social events.
